Which tests are pre-programmed in the Rigel 277 plus?

The Rigel 277 plus has pre-programmed test sequences and limits for:

• IEC 60601 - 1B
• IEC 60601 - 1Bf / Cf (either Bf, Cf or combination like patient monitors & defibs)
• IEC 60601 - 2B
• IEC 60601 - 2Bf / Cf (either Bf, Cf or combination like patient monitors & defibs)
• IEC 61010 - 1 for testing class 1 laboratory equipment
• IEC 61010 - 2 for testing class 2 laboratory equipment

Depending on the class of equipment, the Rigel 277 plus can perform:

• Earth Leakage
• Enclosure Leakage
• Patient Leakage
• Patient Auxiliary Leakage
• Patient F-type Leakage

All Single Fault conditions will be performed automatically as applicable to the tests.

The user simply has to enter the Instrument Type, number of Applied Parts and Class and the tester will do the rest.

For 61010, the Rigel 277 plus will do Touch Leakage by measuring and recording the Touch Voltage prior to the leakage measurement. The measuring device is that of the IEC 61010 standard and is a 2kOhm body  model rather than the 1kOhm body model for the IEC 60601-1 tests.

In addition, the user can create custom tests by using the edit function on the tester. This does not require a PC and is straight forward thanks to the large graphic display and menu settings.
